Something about oats keeps me full all morning long! I love this breakfast when I have a long day ahead or if I'm expecting a late lunch. This recipe is customizable. You can add or leave out anything to your taste!
Ingredients
1 cup of plain sugar-free oats (I used the kind that comes in a packet)
Small handful of blueberries
Raw unsalted Pumpkin Seeds
Raw unsalted Walnuts
A sprinkle Ceylon Cinnamon
1 tbsp of Date Syrup (I use The Date Lady brand: https://ilovedatelady.com)
*Pro Tip: Use any nut/seed/berry you'd like! Raspberries, strawberries, almonds, pecans... I usually eat an extra bowl of berries on the side :)
How to:
1. Cook your oatmeal according to package instructions. I like to cook mine by mixing it with some water and popping it in the microwave for about 1.5 - 2 minutes!
2. Throw all those toppings on top and drizzle on your date syrup! Check out this juicy drizzle video below. Enjoy!
Why Date Syrup?
I choose date syrup over other sweeteners because it is a whole food ingredient. Nothing is stripped from the food to create this ingredient, it is whole dates blended up to create a syrup. This is a much better option for those of us sensitive to white sugar, brown sugar, or even syrups which unfortunately are more processed foods.
Why Ceylon Cinnamon?
